What is curvature?
1000R, 1500R, and 1800R are terms used to describe the curvature of curved monitors. These numbers represent the radius of the curve, measured in millimeters (mm). The smaller the number, the tighter the curve and the greater the degree of bending. In summary, the smaller the curvature radius of the screen, the stronger the sense of immersion and envelopment, but it may also require the user to view from a more central position for the best visual experience.
Features
- 1000R: This curvature means that if you were to connect many monitors of the same curvature into a complete circle, the radius of that circle would be 1000 millimeters. Monitors with a 1000R curvature have a more pronounced bend, offering a more enveloping viewing experience, especially suitable for gaming and immersive video watching.
- 1500R: The curvature of 1500R is somewhat milder than that of 1000R. Such screens are not as tightly curved as 1000R, but still provide a good sense of immersion. This curvature is suitable for a wide range of uses, including office work, gaming, and general media consumption.
- 1800R: The curvature of 1800R is the mildest among these three, suitable for users who want a slight curve without too much bending. Screens with this curvature are suitable for everyday use, including office work and general media viewing.
